Addiction treatment

Recovery care without judgment

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT), plus medical and mental health care, from a team that treats you like a whole person.

What is medication-assisted treatment (MAT)?

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) uses prescription medications, along with regular follow-up and support, to treat substance use disorders such as opioid use disorder and alcohol use disorder.

Your provider will help you decide which option fits you. Not every medication is right for everyone, and eligibility is decided after an assessment. Individual results vary.

We are not an inpatient withdrawal management or residential program. If someone may be overdosing, call 911.

Who it may help

  • Adults with opioid use disorder
  • Adults with alcohol use disorder
  • Adults with stimulant use disorder who want medical support and structured follow-up
  • People who also live with anxiety or depression
  • Patients transferring their care from another program

Not for emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental-health or substance-use crisis, call or text 988. Revitalized Wellness is not an emergency or crisis-response service.

What to expect

What a visit may include

  • A private conversation about your health, substance use, mental health, medications and goals
  • A talk about medication options, when clinically appropriate
  • An overdose-rescue medication for safety
  • Lab work and urine drug screening when appropriate
  • A follow-up schedule and a safety plan

How care is delivered

Many visits are by secure telehealth, where state rules allow. Some visits can take place at our Eugene clinic, including telehealth visits joined from the clinic with support from our staff. Some medications need an in-person visit.

Where it is available

By telehealth in the states listed on our telehealth page where MAT is offered, and with support at our Eugene clinic. MAT is not offered in Arizona, Florida, New York or South Dakota.

Treatment options

Your provider will help you decide what fits. Options may include:

  • Opioid use disorder: daily or long-acting medication options, when clinically appropriate
  • Alcohol use disorder: medication options, when clinically appropriate
  • Stimulant use disorder: support focused on cravings, mental health, sleep and mood, with structured follow-up
  • An overdose-rescue medication prescribed for safety

More than medication

Your care team can also help with primary care, mental health, lab work and urine drug screening when appropriate, so your recovery care is connected to the rest of your health.

Ongoing visits are usually scheduled regularly, and your provider will set a schedule that fits your medication and your needs.
